BlogThis year the Havas Health and You network were proud to have sponsored Founders Forum HealthTech 2018. In this post we share the final executive summary from the event along with a link through to the official highlights film.
Now in it’s 12th year, Founders Forum inspires and challenges the world’s most innovative thinkers. At it’s global events, it brings together over 1000 of the world’s best, brightest and most dynamic digital entrepreneurs, who engage in open debate, brainstorming, discussion and problem-solving. This year the impressive agenda featured incredible speakers such as Sir David Attenborough and Steve Coogan, and we were delighted to be key sponsors on the HealthTech Day on June 15th.
The Founders Forum HealthTech day is now in its 3rd year and unites some of the world’s most dynamic and celebrated individuals from leading health systems and the healthcare industry – all with the aim of discovering, debating and shaping the future of health and breakthrough technologies. The event was co-hosted by ourselves; Dr Jack Kreindler, Founder, CHHP & Chair FF HealthTech; Simon Stevens, CEO, NHS England; Dr Daniel Kraft, Founder and Chair, Exponential Medicine; and Dr Vernon Bainton, CMO, Havas Lynx. This year the discussions focused on Technology and AI in cancer treatment and the broader aspects of cancer care. The event was followed by an evening session at our offices in central London which explored how communications and the creative arts can aid the adoption of new breakthrough science and technology in healthcare.
The day opened with Under Secretary of State for Health, Lord James O’Shaughnessy and Jess Mills, Co-Founder of ‘ACT for Cancer’. It then went on to provide a variety of sessions, breakouts and panel sessions including behavioural tech with Dr Vernon Bainton and brain tech with Matt Eagles. In the afternoon, the delegates moved over to our offices at HKX in central London, and were presented with sessions that focused on driving breakthrough science with creative communication excellence. The afternoon consisted of a networking soiree and keynotes from David Hunt, CEO of Havas Lynx Group; Matt Zachary, Stupid Cancer; Dave Birss, Author and Speaker; Professor Shafi Ahmad, Co-Founder of Medical Realities; Professor Eleanor Stride, Professor of Engineering Science at University of Oxford; and Steve Coogan, Actor, interviewed by Daisy Robinton, PhD, Harvard University Scientist.
