NewsCreative healthcare agency group, Havas Lynx, has celebrated the New Year in style, with a bold, interactive exhibition showcasing the ground-breaking healthcare campaigns which have propelled it to international status.
A celebration of its outstanding creative work in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector, Havas Lynx’s We Doexhibition was hosted on Thursday 11 January at its Princess Street HQ in Manchester city centre. It featured some of the agency’s most memorable campaigns during its 32-year history, including its recent, award-winning work for HIV, Multiple Sclerosis, skin cancer and organ donation.
Exhibited in multiple formats including print, photography, film and digital and interactive installations, We Do also vividly brought to life the agency’s inspiring journey from a humble ‘two-man band’ outfit in 1986, to a global leader in healthcare communications, which today boasts more than 300 employees.
Still proudly retaining its headquarters in its birthplace of Manchester, the agency is part of the leading global communications group Havas Health and You network. 2017 was a year of unprecedented growth for the Havas Lynx group, which bagged over 30 prestigious international awards, often beating off competition from bigger, non-specialist consumer agencies. Last year, the agency took on more employees, further bolstering its team of over 70 creatives and nine creative directors, making it the biggest advertising healthcare department in Europe.
Joined by the crème de la crème of creatives from across the UK, guests at the celebratory event included internationally renowned Manchester based typographer and illustrator Nick Chaffe, who created the striking “We Do” exhibition branding.
Also present on the night, was BAFTA winning Mancunian digital artist, Dan Hett, who created a stunning 3D installation of the We Do logo for the exhibition.
To support the exhibition, Havas Lynx has also produced a book documenting its best healthcare campaigns from the last 18 months – campaigns lauded with multiple award wins, including five gold awards at the PM Society Awards, two wins at the Creative Circle Awards, four golds at the Roses Creative Awards, and two wins for H4B Manchester; a gold at the Communiqué Awards and a win at Clio Health Awards for The World vs.MS. The agency was also one of the few which managed to get shortlisted for pharma campaigns at the Cannes Lions Health Awards.
Commenting on the unique body of work displayed for We Do, Chief Creative Officer, Tom Richards said:
“This exhibition was essentially a celebration of our people, great ideas and the immense creative talent within the agency. We’re very proud of everything we do and our ability to attract, nurture and retain the very best creatives in the industry. This exhibition is a celebration of success to date but also an indication of our ambition. We continue to invest heavily in our teams to ensure we can sustain our success. It’s a very exciting time to work in healthcare and a very exciting time for the Havas Lynx Group. It’s great to win awards, but this was our way of showcasing the work to valued friends, family and colleagues who support us. It is a thank you to our teams, and the clients who place their trust in us.
“From our humble Manchester roots, the Havas Lynx group is today recognised as a global leader in healthcare comms, drawing world-class talent within its creative, medical, technical and accounts teams, delivering ground breaking campaigns for the world’s leading healthcare companies.”
