NewsHealth and wellness agencies Havas Lynx and H4B Manchester, both part of the Havas Lynx Group, scooped Gold for ‘Best Recruitment Advert’ and picked up Bronze in the ‘Best Online Video’ categories of the Roses Awards.
The awards, taking place at the Mercure Hotel in Manchester on Thursday 12th May, champion the best work from agencies outside of London and drew in hundreds of creative agencies from across the UK.
Havas Lynx won top prize for its medically-inspired recruitment advert, part of a drive to boost the agency’s creative team. The campaign drew in a multitude of talent and the agency now boasts the biggest creative healthcare department in Europe – a 70-strong team of creative writers, medical writers, designers and art directors.
‘Sudoku’, the Bronze-winning online video for H4B Manchester, formed part of a campaign encouraging fans to buy their Rugby World Cup shirts from Kitbag.com – an online retailer traditionally associated with football. The campaign, ‘Earn Your Shirt’, imagines what would happen if rugby fans earned their shirt in the same way as rugby players. In ‘Sudoku’, the enthusiastic fan tests his mental strength by doing an advanced Sudoku puzzle. Rugby legend Brian Moore provides the commentary.
In-keeping with H4B Manchester’s specialty in health and wellness, the campaign also urged fans to get active to earn their shirt.
“We were delighted with ‘Earn Your Shirt’,” said Kitbag Marketing Director Tom Dell. “The videos got a great reception online and really connected to our new audience. The campaign helped raise our rugby sales by 16%, so it did the trick.”
Speaking about the wins, Havas Lynx Chief Creative Officer Tom Richards said, “Our mission is to drive creativity in health and wellness to the next level – and that’s been recognised at the Roses. You’re up against some strong work and the competition is tough. Our categories were no different. We’re delighted to come away with two awards”
